I am an experienced Vocal teacher who specialises in commerical music i.e pop,rock,rnb,soul,indie and have taught for the past 6 years now. You will see from my experience (below) that I have a great passion for teaching and there is no need to be scared - I'm very easy going! I have great studios in Central London where I have access to a mic/PA system for performance work and I am well known for building confidence in a singer.

"Karla has coached a vast amount of artists in the last 5 years and is an active singer, songwriter and promoter in the industry. She began her music career as a singer in a soul covers band and then swiftly moved to London to pursue a performance-based degree at university. From being a singer herself she understands first-hand, what is required in artists of today and dedicates her time to coaching artists in development. She continues to promote artists through her live night "Acoustic-Show", co-promoted with Laurence Hobbs the promoter of London's renowned Pop showcase "PopShowParty". Karla prides herself on the close relationships she builds with artists and is well known for building confidence with a singer, which she feels is an important part of their progress, "Personality is so important in a performer and it's my aim to pull that out of every artist I work with, I always manage it somehow!"
Just recently Karla was involved in teaching an artist called Pixie who was signed to Def Jam (Island Records) in New York and more recently Mercury Records, UK. She also coached Singer Sean Mac who is now signed to SonyBMG in Holland and has worked on the management side of the industry with the likes of Jamelia, Myleene Klass and MOBO winners, NDubz. Karla is more well known for her work in the commercial world of music and also teaches songwriting as well as singing.With numerous recording projects, gigs and developing unsigned artists Karla is definitely in the know! Credits Include:Vocal coach to Oli T, now signed to former N'sync's management company and production team in the US.Vocal Coach to Pixie Lott, now signed to Def Jam, New York,Mercury,UK and Sean Mac, SonyBMG,Holland. Supported U.S/UK signed artist Ross Copperman. Various tracks co-written by Karla have featured on National and Regional Radio."
